Meg reached out to me for a session recently, and said that they were looking for a Photo Shoot with Pups. She explained that their fur baby, Bodhi, won’t be here for too much longer 🙁 So documenting them as a family quickly, was necessary. I know how important fur babies are to families, so I did everything I could to put them on my calendar. PLUS they’ve been together for 6 years & they’ve never had photos taken!!
We made sure to focus on capturing their real authentic moments. So we started with a walk with the dogs, and Meg & Wes just played with them happily. And their pup wore the cutest little dog bandana ever (you can find a similar one here!) You can tell how much they all love their life together. We were dodging the storm and capturing how much fun they have at the dog park in Richmond.
After shooting together outside, we went back to their house for some in-home session vibes. Wes, Meg, Bodhi and Mina curled up on the couch together. They had a private moment as a little family, and it was so endearing to catch on camera. I wanted to consider myself as a lifestyle photographer capturing the authentic every day moments. Because those are the ones we miss the most when they’re gone.
We also made sure to get photos of just Meg & Wes since they had never had professional photos taken. I got lots of variety for their final gallery, and they decided to upgrade to include every image! I’m so glad we were able to take these photos before they have to say “see you soon” to Bodhi. I know they’ll cherish being able to look back on this time!
