Melissa + Dan tied the knot on a foggy morning at a Powhatan Church! They had a small, intimate church ceremony followed by a brunch reception at the County Seat! Ya’ll know how much I love brunch, it was SO GOOD!
This sweet couple first met TEN years ago at work, but, didn’t make it official until last year! He proposed on a super romantic mountain getaway! *swoon* Melissa said that she couldn’t believe that he made her hike all the way to the top of a mountain. It was all worth it, she said, when he pulled out the most beautiful ring in the world. (AGREED!!!) Their favorite activities include binge watching TV shows & playing with their pup, Wrigley!!
This day went perfectly. The rain held out the whole time (praise!!!). The morning started with lots of laughter and the sweetest moments between Melissa & her mother. Next, the ceremony followed with this sweet couple vowing their love to each other in front of their closest friends and family. Melissa’s mom and Dan’s daughter shared readings from the Bible. As a result, there was not a dry eye in the house! Melissa’s best friend, Karen, shared how much of a joy Dan has been into Melissa’s life. She said “she walks around glowing!!!!”
Melissa grew up in Powhatan, which made it so special to have their portraits taken at the courthouse! You can also see their Powhatan engagement session here! We had one little furry visitor photobomb, but that’s okay 😉 The reception concluded with a donut bar, and a beautiful bubble exit!!!! They are now enjoying their wonderful honeymoon at the beautiful Biltmore in Asheville, NC!
I hope ya’ll enjoy my favorites!
