Ah, I’m excited to share these holiday photos on the blog! They’re a tradition with my cousin, Emily, and her husband Kenny! Every year we meet up and take their pictures, and this time their pup Ernie joined us. We caught that beautiful golden hour lighting at the park, and had the best evening snapping some pictures for them to remember the year.
I loved the authentic and casual vibe of these two just strolling through the park with Ernie. It wasn’t over complicated or fussy, and I think that’s how holiday photos should be. They’re a way to document each season of life in an honest & authentic way.
And I loved Emily’s plaid flannel, literally perfect! Find a similar one here! Emily & Kenny were so much fun to shoot, and Ernie was an angel the whole session. I have been shooting a lot of photo shoots with pups lately (like this one here) – and I’m down for it! I love when you bring your fur babies!
My only suggestion from a photographer’s perspective is to bring someone to help you manage the dog when you want some images alone too. That way you can focus on the connection between you & not worry that your pup is running away!
These golden hour holiday photos are some of my fav from last year and I’m excited to carry on the tradition this year with Emily & Kenny!
